"Is Payments bigger than Banking?" Mambu provided the thought leadership support for last weeks Sydney event at Grant Thornton LLP. Jacqui McPherson from Avenue said "Its a banks and payments value chain...the bank is at the start and end of the payment". And Stuart Houston from Google mentioned that "Its not one or the other (i.e. payments/banking), as they are tightly coupled". 2 x roundtables & 2 x panels in one day. This event feeds into the regional focus of Emerging Payments Association Asia where we are seeing payments firms growing and innovating as very rapid speed. #realtimepayments #payments #corebanking Emerging Payments Association

What a fascinating discussion..
Would have loved to have been there, but the breaking news on Covid made it seem unwise on the day. And in any case, it's an easy question - of course payments is bigger than banking! 😀
It was incredible to push the envelope a little, and hear from such an incredible brains trust. Mambu are proud to be able to support these initiatives and drive change. Great work Emerging Payments Association Asia!
